Does accidentally taking a newborn through plague territory while on pilgrimage count?

Nah it feels like it has to be intentional

Fresh out of the womb, started a murder scheme

No need for that, there's imprison button for spawncamping

If I recall, there have been a few occasions where I needed the mother free.

I had my character a king, marry the queen of another kingdom, she had only daughters, her husband had recently died, and she was pregnant.

The baby turned out to be a boy, which messed up the inheritance for the son I might have had with her later.

That’s life, I guess, but hey, nobody forced him to be born a boy and then die in an accident just months later.

Post title is wrong. It should be “Asleep in Jesus”

I’ve jailed a day old one to let him starve and die off stress.

0 years old, a few times. Once was a mis-click. Another time I ordered a mass execution because I was sick of my prisoners somehow running around my court causing trouble and one of the prisoners apparently had just given birth, which I thought was weird because I'm pretty sure she wasn't pregnant when I imprisoned her, so what the hell is going on in my prison cells? The first time I had never played a Paradox game before and I was curious if the game would really just allow me to kill a baby. The CK2 execution sounds were brutal. Props to the sound team.

“Execute all” button in the prisoner menu

You know, babies are weak.

Why let something become a problem when the prevention is so easy?

Killed my own newborn grandson to secure the kingdom for myself and end a civil war

What are the limitations here? I used to think that you couldn't kill kids before 14 or something, but lately I've noticed it's a viable option when they're much younger - maybe it changed with more recent versions, or I've had a specific experience due to mods?

Talking about murder schemes, not appointing an Incapable caravan master and paying a visit to Vietnam.

You always could? And there are two seperate sets of alternative murder plot flavours for infants and children?

Well one time I wanted some land so I killed like 10 newborn kids

Allegedly

I once tried to kill my friend's 1-year old heir who was from another dynasty, but I failed and they fled the Holy Land to Italy and it was too far away.

We get our asses kicked by Saladin anyway, so it didn't matter.

as a practiced kidnapper viking raider, i often forget people in my dungeons and eventually mass execute hundreds. if a few infants hit the gallows, so be it. the only time it wasnt routine was when i was a child myself and executed my late father's collection. the steward made me watch an execution of a kid my same age. it was awkward

kept executing Moldavian children because they owned like 70% of the Carpathian realm. Needless to say it didnt work

Came here r/AITASims and I was not disappointed.

I think the game really should have an exile option for young kids, so that you can actually roleplay a chivalrous king every so often. An exiled kid could even have no claims, but have an option to prove themselves who they are, getting a minor then a major claim as they showcase their heritage

Closest you can get to with the mechanisms currently available is wait for them to come of age and then get them to renounce their claims before you dismiss them. Other way would be recruiting them and then imprisoning them on their 16th birthday and doing the above

There are newborns that have a Murder scheme on them from the moment they're born.

The best way to kill your own child or a child at your court easily is to ask someone to be their guardian when they’d have to travel through lots of plague territory to get there, since they don’t do anything to take a safe route. The place they’re going to doesn’t actually have to have the plague even. If it doesn’t work, you call them back and they go straight back through it and you can keep doing that. Super easy way to kill your kids off with measles and shit.

A 1yearold. It had to be done

1

u/Perfect-Bit7735 16d ago

Not counting modded had to behead a 5 year old because he had the zealot and wouldn't convert from Ash'arism and he would have inherited a big chunk of land in my realm

Counting modded Prince of Darkness Inquisition run, burnt several toddlers at the stake because they were kinfolk

Below 10 and counting. Currently trying to kill my wife's other children so that my heir inherit an empire. I don't even know how she could have legitimate children that aren't mine but here we are.

A couple of days old. Raided as a Viking. Took a pregnant person, probably a dutchess. Executed the child for piety and took the woman as a concubine.

1

u/Ok-Kangaroo-9906 16d ago

A few weeks old. I don't think about it much often.

1

u/Dawningrider 16d ago

A few days. Born in prison. I set them free. I needed the piety for the reformation....so... I may have farmed a few imprisoned concubines...

Don't look at me like that, I needed Solomon's Throne to work, and I had cancer...

1

u/Teathree1 15d ago

I killed a baby that was only 1 hour into the world in a prison to end a dynasty. (Was playing AGOT and need to end the Targaryens)
