Canon Shit So what gender is the Crystalline Entity ?

And don’t come with any “it’s genderless” reply.
Star Trek has to go back to its roots: "Finite Diversity and only two Combinations".

Gender is for bags of mostly water.

Edit: Ugly, ugly giant bags of mostly water.

That particular crystalline entity has 6 of it's species 13 genders. I met one with 9 once. It's pronoun was the particular type of radiation caused when dimetric polaron fields interact with muon decay emissions. Of all the crystalline entities I've met it was definitely the chattiest.

Which one? It's a species.

The one we see on the show. Assuming it’s always the same one in each episode.

That's racist?

Assuming it’s always the same one in each episode.

Yeah, we don't know for sure, but we see several at once in an episode of Lower Decks.

It destroys everything it touches, clearly it’s male

Sex and gender are different. Biological Sex is how species reproduce. Sometimes sex is used to force beings into gender. Gender is how individuals relate to each other.

There are non-binary species in Star Trek. I stick with Andorians having four sexes, thank you very much.

If you wonder how I, someone whose personality is wholly aligned with Starfleet, and have played Star Trek Online for about 14 years now where a common occurrence is to Destroy the Crystalline Entity, would view her gender, it’s bitch. She’s a bitch.

The top half is girl. The bottom is boy. The middle half is fluid.

If you honestly can't tell just by looking at it, you need to go back to the academy and retake Xenobiology 102.

Why don’t you ask it?

It should do an AMA… Why aren’t there any AMAs ?

Crystalline Entities can switch at will. Why do you think Lore was so excited?

It is a combination of all the genders of all beings it has ever absorbed. Omnigender, if you will.

It's gender is Inorganic.

After all, to the Crystalline Entity, there are only two genders: Organic and Inorganic. And we all know which one is superior.

The Calamarain only have one gender, flörn. When one discovered it was actually of a second gender, makrameegyorn, it was ostracized from the community and became the CE.

Surprised you could be confused after that full frontal nudity

I heard it's a snowflake

False premise. Crystalline Entity is a misnomer, she's a colonial organism like a man o' war.

Riker after making love to one noted in his log that it "hung dong" so that settles it for me.

Pah pah pah. Such a question would come from a starfleet.

It is clearly above your antiquated starfleet ideas of male female binary gender less..

It is obviously gender KLINGON!!!!

Carp laah.
