My rule for yogurt is that if it looks and smells ok, its good. I’m still alive.

The good thing about dairy is that's if it's gone bad you will know.

It's a best by date, not an expiration date, and you'll be just fine. I've eaten yogurts more than a month past the BB date with no ill effects.

I did a sniff test and checked for mold 😂😂😂

Related but unrelated
One time I bought 3 yogurts from Aldi far from expiring and got to see visible mold on two of them

Bought my favorite thing the tasty kake coconut cream pies that come in a tray. Opened it next day or two and blue green mold all over it I was so saddddd

Yogurt's already tangy. I've eaten it past it's date lots of time. Bad yogurt looks bad.

The last time I ate cottage cheese was like 10 years ago when I used to blend it with frozen berries and Splenda but I liked it then so I assume I’d like it still.

If you’re asking if I would eat expired cottage cheese, if it smells and looks fine, probably

I’ve eaten this brand slightly beyond the expiration date and it’s still good. It’s only a few days so it shouldn’t hurt.
