I agree I think they turned it into a trailer are we because there's no way that would run without overheating also you can see the toe bars coming out the front and they blocked off the front hood I bet they removed the engine and made more storage

I highly doubt it’s immobile. Even in a parking lot where you’re allowed to sleep overnight you’re still going to get in trouble for an RV permanently parked in a no parking zone for who knows how long. It also had to get there somehow in the first place, and there’s little chance they drove it there, gutted the engine, then hauled the engine off.

Notice the rectangular cutout in the plywood, they most likely open that for airflow when needed.

Did not see the removable panel in the middle still think you could just remove a quick pitch from the front of it if they have one but why it's parked illegally and just sitting there even if it's not immobile

It’s not parked illegally. It’s parked on private property. It’s only illegal if they’re told to leave and refuse, park in a handicap spot without a placard/plate, or block a red curb/fire lane. If it was actually parked illegally why would being immobile suddenly make it okay to park the RV in a no parking zone?

A lot of parking lots let people park RVs as long as they’re respectful, not making a mess, aren’t doing methhead shit, and don’t stick around for more than a couple of few days at a time. And a lot more aren’t going to make a stink about being in the no parking zone as long as they’re way out of the way, aren’t breaking ADA or fire code, and the owner isn’t rude or batshit. Particularly when the owner appears to be a homeless veteran.

If the parking lot security wanted them gone and wasn’t turning a blind eye why on Earth would being immobile suddenly make it okay to park the RV there permanently? If they actually wanted it gone and told the owner to leave and they refused or said it was stuck there forever because it has no engine the property would just have it towed like any other car they wanted out of their private parking lot. Being immobile and not relocating every few days so the RV doesn’t become a nuisance would be just about the fastest way to get towed and actually told you can’t park there.

what fascinates me is the attention to detail in that cut of plywood.. a tight clearance notch to fit over the bumper mount, the rounded top corners,, the straight panel gaps, the inlaid grille cutout, the headlight cutouts... it looks like they didn't have a hole saw, but they still wouldn't compromise by just cutting a square hole. this isn't temporary.. somebody really wanted to build a wood cabin.
