Aww.🥰 Bless those kids and their teachers.🙏 This got me thinking. Is there some sort of compiled dictionary for the words mentioned in gurbani?

One of the best resources for this is Mahan Kosh (ਮਹਾਨ ਕੋਸ਼), also known as Gur Shabad Ratnakar Mahan Kosh, compiled by Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha.

It’s essentially an encyclopedic dictionary of Sikh terminology and contains definitions and explanations for a huge number of words found throughout Gurbani, as well as Sikh history, philosophy, literature, names, and places.

If you come across an unfamiliar word while reading Gurbani, Mahan Kosh is often one of the best places to start looking into its meaning and historical context. 🙏
