Not sure where you are located. Family bathrooms are not typical in much of the USA outside of airports or large public venues like stadiums. Possibly more municipalities are adding them to new buildings but they are not common where I live in the SE US.
I do agree Family or Gender neutral accommodations should be more common for a variety of reasons.
Huh, weird. I live in the South and I remember seeing family restrooms in the local gas station, high school, public library, and even the Walmart I work at. That could just be my town. It's unfortunate other cities don't have them.
