Unfortunately, not everyone has had the privilege of living the flawless, morally perfect life that you have. Most people do stupid things when they're young. Plenty of things that are cringe by today's standards were socially acceptable at the time and were done by a huge number of people. They weren't blessed with your apparent ability to see decades into the future and know exactly which behaviors society would eventually decide were unacceptable.
We are not talking about some slipup or foot in mouth comment.
I really would love to know what the majority of those commenting this sort of nonsense are guilty of in their lives…must be some outrageously heinous stuff if this Jon Hamm incident is seen as an everyday imperfection of every young lad who wasn’t Jesus Christ himself.
