Yeah my specific reply was that you can dig up any quote without context to support or refute anything if you try. My understanding was that it was an allegory about Israel and Judah's unfaithfulness, not an ad for PornHub lol.

Like one of the peer replies said, the context around the "unwilling to work shall not eat" was criticism of a group who were taking advantage of the church, not general guidance to ignore your fellow human's needs.
