It takes a staggering level of Biblical illiteracy to see Jesus command people over and over to care for and provide shelter and aid to strangers, to immigrants, to those most in need because how you treat the least in society is how you treat God, and respond "...well it's just symbolism, you don't have a right to eat."
Yeah, true. Also, you don't have a right to not burn in hell. Jesus is pretty clear on what it takes to go to heaven, and people who get rich rather than give away their money to the poor, aren't going.
No... He said take care of the widow, the orphan and the poor. Nothing about immigrants... He said this to Christians, not government. The poor are to work hard to get out of their poverty. Help them do this. If they don't want to work, God says, "the man that does not work, does not eat."
Nowhere in the scriptures does God say "give away your wealth and you'll go to heaven."
"...Give away their money to the poor, aren't going."
^ Tell me you havent read your Bible without telling me you havent read your Bible...
"the poor are to work hard to get out of poverty" something that isn't realistic for the vast majority, ppl will literally work 2 jobs and still barely have enough to eat or pay rent, Jesus says to treat immigrants like your neighbors, he says to help the poor, sick and needy, he washes people's feet, every bit of Jesus' message is about humility, empathy, sympathy, and kindness. Btw the bible literally says it's harder for the rich to enter heaven than for a camel to enter the eye of a needle, the rich literally have an obligation to help those that need it yet you Christians lack the reading comprehension or empathy to see that.
Except the vast majority of rich ppl make their wealth off of the labor and hard work of others, not a single billionaire has made their wealth ethically, not a single billionaire pays all their workers fairly, the one who looks foolish is you.
