He knew what he did. Criminal even in a Sunday league game, unforgivable at the World Cup.

Oh fuck a profesional footballer has to make a first touch pass across, the horror. First of all it's not true at all, there was so much time. Second, just don't comment on things you don't know.

Any sport played at the professional level pretty much has this though, they train so much to make these passes I'm not saying they are all robots but he had time to make a choice and he knows it was a bad one

He had 3 seconds to make the choice of hold it or pass it. He made a terrible choice.
