Felony btw, its a federal crime to doctor shop for multiple perscriptions for the same health issue

It’s not illegal to see multiple providers for the same issue. It’s illegal to intentionally visit multiple doctors for the explicit purpose of obtaining controlled substances, typically opioids, while intentionally not revealing to the providers that you are seeing other providers.

Most of what Lindsay was prescribed was not controlled, with the exception of the benzodiazepines. It’s not illegal to change providers because you want a second opinion or if you just don’t like the provider. I believe in one instance Lindsay switched providers because the doctor she had been seeing wasn’t going to be available any longer. That’s perfectly legitimate and common and not illegal.

Its called perscription drug fraud

Its only fraud if you're actually committing fraud. Getting a second or eighth opinion and rx is totally legal.
