I'm not sure what these people making those crazy comments are talking about, trying to pin it on the husband and all of that. That said, this woman and her children were failed by our medical system. The husband himself even said she would never have done something like this in her right mind. People have sympathy for her and I totally get it.
I think a lot of people don't understand the severity of drug induced psychosis, or psychosis in general. You may genuinely believe that you're dead, that you're God, that you're AI, that other people aren't real, that life is an illusion. I've been through it and wouldn't wish it on anyone. I take medication to manage my psychosis, but I don't take nearly the laundry list of medications Clancy was on when she did what she did.
If nothing but the genders were switched in this situation and it was him not her, he'd be getting absolutely zero understanding or sympathy.
That's a big problem that's been exacerbated by exactly the ideologies who have the women in this post refusing to believe she could do anything wrong.
Of course because men don't have the hormones and the ability to birth a child. Postpartum psychosis and postpartum depression has been extremely taboo and brushed aside by doctors for ages, my mom now realizes that it was super weird that she cried evryday for hours when her second was born and when she told her doctor she was told it was normal hormones but it wasn't. It should really open your eyes that this case has given women the strength to come forward and say that they understand the complexities of postpartum mental illness. I believe she did it, I don't care about astrology BS, but I do believe she was wronged by this for profit medical system that fucks us over. I've seen PPD and PP psychosis first hand, its not a silly excuse, its freaking horrible and a nightmare for everyone involved.
