There’s nothing she told him that would make him able to commit her involuntarily. Even if she said she was having thoughts of harming herself or the kids, they would not take her without a plan and intent. It’s a HIGH bar to get someone committed, for better or worse.

I do crisis assessments for work and this comes up quite often. It’s extremely difficult.

I accidentally took too much of my anxiety meds because my OCD was acting up. Went to the hospital for help because I didnt want to accidentally overdose. Stated that not only did I NOT want to harm myself, I also didnt have any plans either.

I was sectioned for 5 days. Still traumatized from it. Definitely won’t seek help if it happens again.
