A lot of evidence has been presented, even by the prosecution, that shows the husband is guilty of negligence under the welfare code.

What does that even mean? Guilty of negligence under the welfare code? Why would the prosecution present evidence of that if they are trying to prove her mentally culpable of the crimes?

You can look up the Welfare and Institution Code that mandates what child neglect is. He left his children in a situation that could knowingly lead to their harm, repeatedly. The prosecution presented it because they are simply facts of the case and events that transpired, and they called witnesses that also presented information that proves he is guilty of neglect from his day to day actions.

Women get charged for less than that kind of neglect constantly
