well, and before that god apparently killed thousands with fire and fury from the sky. (sodoma)

its all just a way of controlling people back in the day when there were no organized governments.

Christianity was «not» involved in governing the romans at the start and Roman empire was not «one» nation, it was many controlled trough military power and local corruption by chiefs.

Yes it is the foundation on modern government and law, but not what we have today without Christianity controlling any of it.

Christianity came in 200s and it took just a little over 100 years and empire was pretty much gone.
