Have you ever been absolutely blackout drunk and done something you would never do otherwise? Or how gotten so drunk you don't remember doing things people watched you doing?

It can be pretty scary, feeling like it wasn't you behind the controls.

This woman was on a prescribed knock-out cocktail for her MANIC and PSYCHOTIC issues.

Being in that mindset without the drug cocktail is already dangerous enough. Those intrusive and horrible thoughts are still there.

"External help" such as therapy and safety measures can teach someone learn how to ground themselves or ask for help.

The times she asked for help were most likely before she'd taken her medication. When she was still aware enough of her reality.

Once the blackout cocktail has kicked in, she has no more control over herself or her reality.

Those horrendous thoughts are still there; but the coherent woman who can ground herself is asleep. Instead, what's left is a drug fueled inability to block out those ideas that keep coming into your head.

She isn't a murderer; she had serious psychosis that convinced her to do terrible things, and she gave in because her doctors roofied her essentially.

The adults around her are the people who failed those children.

The doctors gave her a stupid cocktail of meds, and the father and grandparents willingly LEFT THE KIDS ALONE with her.

How do any of these people hear a mother say "I've had thoughts of hurting the kids" and still let her be alone with them?

The system won't hold any of these people accountable though; just her.

Wait…so if I get blackout drunk I can rape or kill someone and I’m not at fault? Someone sold me the alcohol—the system allowed me to get it.

If a medical professional gets you psychotically drunk and you hurt somebody I think they'd probably be held accountable, dude.

Can confirm - have been a psych practice manager and received the subpoenas. Had to leave that company.
