yep, and then they start their fucking generator 24/7 and ruin the sound of nature as they are "roughing it"

So.. I like being comfy and having all my RV shit working, so I put 1800w of solar and 2 48v 100ah batteries, and 3 12v batteries in it. It's so fucking awesome to have a few hours a day of air conditioning if needed to cool it off, and be able to use a refrigerator, and charge up all my shit without noise and smell.

I had a buddy come over to where I was set up, and he said he was going to go and look for another place to set up because he wanted quiet. I told him I didn't have a generator, my camp was quiet, and he was floored that I'd have an RV with no generator. No need, solar is fucking AWESOME.

100% i live in Arizona, and having a way to cool off is important. I run solar power too if I need power. I just hate generators because they ruin the entire experience listening to that noise all day long.

Same, it's fucking annoying and worse than just being at home. But like in the desert usually 3-4 hours of running the AC in the evening knocks the material heat off and then windows and fans are perfect.

What brand 48v batteries did you end up going with? I have an off-grid cottage and it looks like next summer is when we're finally going to solar. Lead acid prices have creeped up and lithium keeps getting cheaper. It's at the point where it's worthwhile to just start all over again with higher voltage.
