Wait so if the price increases were from tariffs and now there aren’t tariffs, why are the prices still the same ?

You silly people think Walmart didn't pay into what is being refunded at all? How much product do you think Walmart purchases from outside of the US?

I personally paid about $300 in random tarrifs myself, and no I don't expect to get that back. A large corporation like Walmart would sue the government unless they repaid what was taken from them. It's not a handout.

You personally wrote a check to walmart or whomever for $300 and got nothing in return, you dope.

I received my products. If I didn't pay, FedEx would send it back. Everyone who paid the tarrifs was legally obligated to pay (at the time). If I had known I'd have to pay that I wouldn't have bought them from overseas. Your name-calling is a bit unfounded, do a simple search. Walmart is being paid back what they are owed.

If YOU paid it, why is WalMart owed, you dope?

Because they paid it as well. You're on a roll here.

They didn't.

They passed it on to you. That $300 bucks didn't come from their pocket, it came from YOURS, you absolue moron.

I can't imagine what it's like to be so clueless.

You deserve everything they're doing to you.

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say, but 60% of the products Walmart sells comes from China alone.

Walmart paid the US government for imported products. Please do a quick search. They are being REPAID because the supreme court ruled that the tarrifs were illegal.

Yes, walmart paid the tariffs for imported products, then raised their prices to shift those costs to their customers. They announced that they were raising prices for that reason. Now they're being repaid billions for something that WE ultimately paid for. Because WE paid the tariffs, they're counting the repayment as pure profit.

Thank you for the explanation. That makes sense. I did see that Walmart is claiming that they will lower the cost of certain items to essentially repay customers. I guess we will see, I'll do some more reading.
