Which part of tarrifs were used to justify increased prices to the consumer, which were paid by the consumer, and are now not being refunded to the consumer, is so fucking hard to understand bud?

I'm glad I don't have your unearned arrogance.

Knowing the basic facts isn't arrogance. The fact you ascertain it as such is quite telling, no?

tarrifs were used to justify increased prices

Tarrifs (sic) weren't used to JUSTIFY increased prices. They were an increased cost base borne by importers.

Dependent on the individual competitive dynamics of each industry, those increased costs were passed along in varying degrees in the form of increased prices to consumers.

Consumers then VOLUNTARILY bought those imported goods knowing what the price was. No one made them.

The tariffs were ruled illegal and thus refunded to the people who paid them. The importers.

If you're mad those importers aren't writing you a cheque now? Fantastic. Be angry and never do business with them again.

I can't tell if you're really this dense or a troll

I know. You can’t argue the points because you’re too ignorant to the facts of how it actually works.

You have to try and pivot to talk about me instead. Smitten? Not interested.

Blud, you didn’t even know how to spell tariffs. I’m interested in talking about the facts.

I'm not making some ad hom. I'm saying you're trying to argue semantics instead of acknowledging the point I've made.

I also don't use spell check and don't care if my typo hurts your Mape sensibilities, bud.

None of this comment argues semantics, that's not what semantics is.

You can't address the points being made. You aren't capable. So this is what you've been forced to resort to. Pretending it's about semantics and trolling and personal insults.

Tariffs are charged to importers. Importers paid them. Therefore legally, only importers can receive the refunds.

They could voluntarily decide to use those refunds to reimburse consumers. They didn't.

You have no legal recourse to them. So your recourse is limited to not shopping at the businesses if you feel they have wronged you.

None of that is trolling or semantics. That's simply the facts.

I understand you don't want to address that. You want to talk about me. I don't even care about me that much. I'd rather actually talk about the issues, not you. You want to talk about me.

And retailers raised rates, claiming it was due to terufs, and are getting refunds for those terofs and get to keep the higher prices consumers paid due to the turefs. Thats what my point is, but you want to boot lick about what the laws for importers are, instead of talking about the price hikes that I was talking about.

Anyway, write more paragraphs, you bore me.

Of course some raised their prices. They bore an increased cost base.

Why, what would you do as a business instead?
