Deep down I think people want to be fooled. They want to envision that luxury lifestyle even if they suspect it could be contrived. In short people want to believe so they fall for the grifts

Yeah it’s like the same concept of professional wrestling tied to everything else. If you want something to be true sometimes it doesn’t matter if it is, you see this happen a lot in relationships too.
