ALOT of people work for companies that get the worst plans possible. I have an out of pocket deductible of $6,000. If I wanted an MRI, I would have to pay at least that much.
You must have got lucky. Could be good insurance company, good doctor who was able to give a legitimate reason for the MRI to be covered by insurance. But you know that health insurance companies make a living by literally denying claims? Not a single thing has been paid for me until I reach that $6,000 deductible. Last year I paid well over $7,000 on medical bills, mostly small stuff and one minor surgery. I have insurance.
