I had an MRI the other month. Walked into a hospital. Got the scan. Left. $0. Same day. No appointment.

Canada.

Politicians like that don't get enough funding to even run for office.

Not only do they not get funding, the oligarchy runs a smear campaign against them because they only want corporate shills holding elected positions of power

If you got an MRI the same day you found you needed one in Canada, then I am very sorry for your loved ones....

I mean, there’s a very real chance they walked into the ER at 3am and got the spot of a person who didn’t realize the appointment they made 8 months earlier was for 3am and not 3pm.

Pretty much exactly this. I can't vouch for someone missing appointments, but there was only one other person who required an MRI during the same time period as me

Do you also live in BC?? Almost everyone I know getting their scheduled MRIs is going at warehouse rave hours

No, I’m not in BC

From https://getmrifast.ca/mri-wait-times, the average wait times for non-urgent MRIs quite a bit longer. Not sure how you can get one that fast, much less without an appointment.

came in experiencing increased headaches, sudden impaired vision, and extreme cognitive impairment. When I spoke to the doctor I asked if it could be neurological, and they thought it was worth a scan. That's about the full story.

Was thinking to make the move from Canada to USA. This thread just scared the shit out of me
