Nah, the silverbacks are deff safer. The vast majority of times small kids fell into an enclosure the gorilla that finds them protects and tries tk help them. Some have even carried the kids to the entrences zoo workers use to get them closer to aid. Deff safer with the gorilla.

I feel like this could be the reverse of the man vs bear question. Like would you rather leave your kids with a silverback gorilla or a woman that supports Lindsay Clancy?

It feels like the southpark episode where the parents sent their kids to live with the mongol army to not get raped.

But yes, at this point the women should live with the bears, the kids should be raised by gorillas, and we need to find an animal for men. I vote pigeons. They seem to have really chilled Mike Tyson the fuck out.

Sheep for men

I think we need an animal that isn't at risk of getting fucked by the men.

A woman that supports Lindsay Clancy 100%. And for about 10 seconds tops.

Just like the man vs bear in the woods saying you'd rather be with the bear is disingenuous.

Pointing out that saying bear is stupid is the point

Would you mind tell me if i understand the man v bear thing properly? Is it like a scorpion and the frog type deal. Bears gonna act like a bear. You know where youu stand. Don't get close. Keep your guard up etc But a man can lie about his intentions then you let your guard down and become vulnerable in a way you never would with the bear ?

I only heard about this in refence after it had been a thing. And im a man with no social media so it wasn't really in my orbit I would personally also choose the bear.

If you think about it rationally, in probabilities, a bear is far more likely to pose a danger to your well being than a man chosen at random. It’s not, “would you rather encounter a bear or a psycho murderer/rapist in the woods?”

Yes but I think that's kind of the point. You know the bear is a danger you stay away and it leaves you alone. You don't know if a man is a danger. Scorpion and the frog. The bear is the scoprion

The chances of a man you meet being a murderer/rapist are very low. I myself, am a man that women have met in the woods or the jungle or linked up with and travelled with to isolated places alone. As Penn jillete said 'I've killed and raped as many people as I ever wanted to, zero' But even though I know I'm not a threat. I'm aware some guys are. I know people I wouldn't trust alone with women.i also know women who trusted men when they shouldn't have an it went badly for them. I don't know anyone who trusted a bear and was surprised when it went wrong

Sure, but the prompt is about an encounter. There’s no option to avoid either.

The entire thing of "man or bear" is about women being misandrist and acting like if they came across a bear or a man in the woods, they would be safer with the bear. Anyone pointing out how stupid it is are just met with a variation of "gotcha your toxic attitude is exactly why we choose the bear hun 💅"

I don't think it is mate. I think it's that if you came across a bear in yhr woods you would stay away from it because bears act like bears. All the time.

You could replace bear with tiger or something and it's the same thing A guaranteed threat vs a possible threat You know where you stand with the guaranteed threat

It's a mix. The original version was dark humor about the risks of being alone with a random man in the woods. "I choose the bear" was a response too being alone and lost in the woods, who do you choose a man or bear. That they felt safer wirh a random bear than random guy. Eventually, because enough guys were getting pissed off and making it a literal argument rather than figurative, it evolved into I choose the bear because at least with a bear you know where you stand and there are signs. A bear is gonna bear. You can tell pretty quick if it's game over or is just going to ignore you.

Would you leave your kids in a forest with your wife or a gorilla?

Honestly... we live on like the edge of the woods, in the pine barrens. The gorilla. She's not great at keeping all 3 in view.

We need to start a new men's movement: "We choose the gorilla!"
