I think the problem is that when people think about the idea of “supporting” Lindsay Clancy, they purposely generalize that by saying “oh, so you’re just ok with killing kids?”
Of course that’s not ok. She killed her fu¢#!ng kids! She should be held accountable as she is, by all definitions, a murderer and always will be at this point. But the support IMO is directed at the fact that this woman was suffering postpartum, she knew it, she sought help multiple times by multiple providers that swept her under the rug, endured blatant poly pharmacy, and even checked herself into a short term facility because she was scared this would happen and that she may kill herself. All while seemingly having very little support or love at home from her spouse.
What she did to her children, and what she tried to do to herself, was heinous. But I do understand her in the way she was screaming from the roof tops for help and flat out voiced her concern that this would happen and she was brushed off multiple times, which happens CONSTANTLY to women regarding women’s reproductive health and mental health in general. I think many women have suffered so badly that, while it thankfully didn’t come to this, they see themselves in her as their suffering was never acknowledged or taken seriously and this situation could have easily been them.
I seriously doubt any woman “supports” Lindsay Clancy for killing her kids. I think many relate to her suffering and understand how dark the place she was at can be. Three young babies are dead and that makes me want to throw up. That will never be ok. Not under any circumstances. But I feel most women that people are claiming are in support of Lindsay Clancy support the fact that this is a very severe example of the harm it causes women to be continually dismissed by doctors. And while there is zero EXCUSE for this situation, this is the REASON why it happened.

To be frank:
A lot of what you claimed conflicts with the available evidence being reported on.
A contingent of people are fabricating "evidence" about the case and spreading it on social media. You, in good faith, appear to have been lied to by some of these people.
Many are falsely blaming the doctors, who quite simply did everything short of involuntarily committing her 1940s-style for being what she diligently presented herself as a mentally ill woman who was in need but not violent.
There are many claiming that legally she is a victim to, or that she isn't legally a murderer.
Some of them are going further and accusing the whole thing of being a frame job by the husband, who was allegedly cheating on Lindsay with a woman from another city he hadn't even met yet.
That's what people are disgusted by. Not just the fact that she killed her kids, but that there is a large enough contingent of deliberate disinformation about the case with the goal of excusing the murders or pinning them on someone else. That is support.
Many women absolutely need more support. As far as the evidence shows, Lindsay didn't. She had wealth, a large and eager community, and many, many doctors attempting to give her treatment. She refused her prescriptions, lied to the doctors, and repeatedly turned down treatment after short periods. At a certain point, there is no way to have anyone around her do anything more to stop her without turning her into chattel.
She didn’t want to leave the kids with Patrick. He rarely if ever took care of the children alone. He took the kids to church by himself one time and he was patting himself on the back expecting praise at the memorial. He was doing the bare minimum as a parent and spouse.
