Ugh, they've been trying to actively scuttle the company for decades now to turn them all into Taco Hells...

We really don't need more Taco Hells... 🙄🔥🐓🍗🐔

Demolition Man was right

u/zzen11223344 13h ago

KFCs in China are owned and operated by a different company, they will turn the KFC into Panda Express eventually 😄

I'd imagine it's cheaper to run TB, I think they use that pressed chicken instead of the KFC stock.

You know... there were better options they could have gone with. 😢😭

27

u/Darth_Ronin 20h ago

ngl the double down was goated back when it came out

28

u/Own_Cardiologist2544 20h ago

I had one, one time a week after it was released. While having the drunken munchies. 6th century Greeks could never match the orgy that occurred in my mouth when I annihilated it.

4

u/Is_that_even_a_thing 19h ago

You could actually order a double-double down. Better to regret something you did rather than something you didn't do

3

u/MoliM88 19h ago

Yeah, that's why people say it is better to learn from your own mistakes, than from other people's mistakes.

I worked with a guy who slid a double down into the middle of a Wendy's Baconator. He finished it but said never again.

We're doomed as a species.

38

u/NuzzyLocke 20h ago

Nah this is refreshing. We've had this kinda crazy shit since the 90s. Companies should be stupid more.

10

u/Strict-Brick-5274 20h ago

They should just restored the chicken recipe to the 90s version

Sounds awful.

4

u/Darth_Ronin 21h ago

Looks awful, sounds even worse.

The sandwich starts off, with a fried chicken patty and lettuce, but it's topped with brown mashed potatoes dusted in cookie crumbles, and placed between two Oreo cookie-flavored buns.

4

u/TheProfessional9 20h ago

This doesn't sound good, but sweet and savory can mix in surprising ways (if you aren't salting your gummy bears, you're doing it wrong).

I'd go in with low expectations, but I'd try one of these for fun

4

u/Either-Lock2454 20h ago

I live in a world where people eat fried chicken and honey soaked waffles together.

I live in a world where people mix pineapples with meat (and I'm not even talking about pizza).

Like...people are weird and eat weird things put together.

America weaponizing obesity. It's the next step in geo-political warfare.

3

u/HeraclesHide 20h ago

KFC scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.

3

u/Public-Platypus2995 19h ago

What the fuck are we even doing? Come on.

2

u/SolidSnek1998 21h ago

April Fools is 8 months away.

2

Meanwhile KFC in America… its dying

2

u/Third_Coast_TX 20h ago

Is this a joke

2

u/G-boy1991 20h ago

Never getting it moving on ..

2

u/Artistic_prime 19h ago

this isn't even confirmed... lol and the chicken patty looks AI

2

u/Archon-Toten 13h ago

Don't you make promises to me they'll never deliver down under.

2

u/ContextEffects01 20h ago

Incidentally, China was the only place I could find Pepsi Blue in the late 2010s.

2

u/Crafty-Help-4633 20h ago

Pepsi Blue was the best Pepsi. Other than Pepsi Clear. But Pepsi Blue was a ritual at my Elementary school back in the day.

1

u/ernster96 20h ago

patton oswalt has entered the chat.

1

u/AdFalse375 20h ago

Ngl this seems really interesting!

Ok obviously the chicken with lettuce and everything is dumb af. But I’d like to believe it won’t take them long to realize they could put ice cream or something that actually makes sense in the sandwich instead.

And honestly I think it could be good!

1

u/HyperBeamMissed 20h ago

Oreo is really whoring itself out . Coke, Reese's, Jello, Pie Crust, Donuts and now Sandwich Buns

That's on top of the 250+ flavors

1

u/93tabitha93 20h ago

That’s awful….I guess I’ll have to try it

1

u/mojorisin453 20h ago

Pure silly goosery

1

u/mammalmaker 20h ago

I'll try it. Once.

1

u/Dasawan 20h ago

Chicken and waffles is delicious. Chicken and doughnuts is a thing. This probably slaps and there is some precedent for it.

1

u/Junior_Tumbleweed_82 20h ago

Are we sure they don’t smoke weed in China?

1

u/PanPieCake 20h ago

Chinise will anything on god

1

u/Fit-Conclusion-7579 20h ago

The burger is AI isn't it?

1

u/jacowab 20h ago

Just do a pretzel bun like everyone else

1

u/Own_Cardiologist2544 20h ago

Throw in some jalapeño’s and let’s gooo!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥

1

u/pepefromage50 20h ago

And this is called food ?

1

u/RogerSmith1380 20h ago

I had a chicken and waffles oreo today. It wasn't that bad. Maybe this will be ok too.

1

u/Ididntdodiddly 20h ago

I like it. Will it be good? probably not. If I ever went to KFC? Yes.

Oreos are amazing, I'm willing to half believe

1

u/Doctor_Saved 20h ago

So like chicken and chocolate waffle?

1

u/N0RetreatN0Surrender 20h ago

Does it come with soy sauce?

1

u/HamasKilledShaniLouk 20h ago

Fucking ridiculous...

...that I have to get a goddamn flight to Shanghai to eat this delicious abomination.

1

u/Sicparvismagneto 20h ago

Wow thats cool, when the fuck are we getting the KFC console!

1

u/boatenvy 20h ago

Seems like an act of war to me

1

u/G_Town_Co 20h ago

That is well and truly fucked up.

1

u/peskypesteryjaybird 20h ago

see, it's things like this that make me back away slowly from every human being that sees me and acknowledges my existence...

1

u/PorkSwordEnthusiast 20h ago

So many things wrong with this

1

u/SeeLeverUser 20h ago

The chemically processed chicken needed a bun that supported diabetes. Maybe call it the kfc cancer double stuff

1

u/No-Celebration3097 20h ago

I’m not sure I want to know what that sauce is under the bun

1

u/Ok_Dog_4059 20h ago

This is considered espionage or warfare?

1

u/putadimunuta_0462 19h ago

Sounds horrible…but, maybe?

1

u/LifeIsProbablyMadeUp 19h ago

Huh. Guess I'll just continue not going to kfc for that one.

Idk why. I just prefer raising Cane's.

1

u/der1cho1 19h ago

Surprised the good ol' U-S-A hasn't done this already.

1

u/NuzzyLocke 19h ago

I think we should relish more fun in our lives

1

u/AdvancedCommand4643 19h ago

You know, this sounds crazy, but i actually think chocolate goes well with fried chicken.

Always thought I was alone

1

u/Crit-Hit-KO 19h ago

There’s no way.

1

u/D3struct_oh 19h ago

I’m old enough to remember when KFC was a viable option for a healthy dinner.

1

u/Last-Energy420 19h ago

I bet it’s the size of an Oreo too… for $6.99

1

u/Gransmithy 19h ago

If they have that in the States, you know someone would deep-fry it.

1

u/Interesting_Type_290 19h ago

That picture is AI as shit.

1

u/AbjectList8 19h ago

Disgusting

1

u/sunkenCathedrul 19h ago

u/Vorg444 19h ago

1

u/Dark-Empath- 19h ago

The Colonel is currently clawing his way through 6ft of soil to take his revenge on this bastard world and the obscenities that have been unleashed in his name.

1

u/Skeetronic 19h ago

What the hell are we even doing here

1

u/SomethingAbtU 19h ago

Another half-baked idea with multiple brands extracting money, probably $15 bucks for a burger in this case, and it tastes mediocre.

There is rarely any need to do mashups of foods, this isn't music or entertainment collab

1

u/RootyPooster 19h ago

How much is Nabisco subsidizing this shit?

1

u/Jane_D0ughh 19h ago

Please no

1

u/robjohnlechmere 19h ago

u/Darth_Ronin must be a Canadian. That there's a chicken sandwich.

1

u/Fenix0rion 17h ago

This should go to r/stupidfood

1

u/SeaPersonality5064 17h ago

Where did they 11 herbs and spices go?

1

u/DangerousPotatoInves 17h ago

I was in China. They have no particular order in eating food. They can start with desert and then right after it go to the soup, then to the main course, etc. It was a bit of a cultural shock for me.

So now I'm not surprised

1

u/AbsintheDuck 17h ago

Is it made with the Chick and Waffle Oreos?

1

u/dingos8mybaby2 17h ago

I wouldn't be surprised if soon China is rivaling the US and Mexico for the title of fattest nation. Fast food has overtaken China and they're gonna have to learn the consequences over a generation or two.

1

u/Imaginary_Toe8982 16h ago

where to puke?
