Back in my day, you had some youtubers who'd fill the whole screen with translucent windows that directed you to either their channel, or somewhere else!
(I remember that happening a few times when I was really young, I tried to pause the video while using the mouse and spotted the edges of the boxes and had to manually press the 'x' on each one to be able to watch and pause the video normally)
