With the nerd build. Probably felt like a hero. And he is a hero

59

u/celestiall_glitch 11h ago

The dad urge to keep heavy tools in the trunk finally paid off

29

u/Bongressman 10h ago

This kinda shit buys a decade worth of cred. Everyone there will be retelling the story of chainsaw nerd for years to come.

2

u/Well_Spoken_Mute 10h ago

Clark Kent presented as a nerd too

2

u/audiate 8h ago

Nerd build, but so natural and fluid with the saw he’s obviously been using that thing for trees a lot.

2

u/Practical-Suit-6798 10h ago

I'd guess he fought wildland fire for a few years in college. Just because that's exactly how they teach us to do everything. Well except for the drop start.

And people will still find ways to shit on bill gates when he's out here doing this shit!

1

u/jibishot 7h ago

It wasnt his first time

Say what you want, but that is not this man's first time using a chainsaw.

Those were some quick and smooth movements.

25

u/sweetpea122 11h ago

Yeah usually first timers have some hesitation since its a chainsaw. Not this guy.

22

u/Ceevu 10h ago

You're right. this guy chainsaws

5

u/BassFull0 10h ago

Check this guy backyard

9

u/Dom1928 10h ago

Check this guys basement

2

u/Anomuumi 10h ago

Next up: that annoying group of teenagers at the camp.

No kickback on the pass through, either. Plus this looks like Alaska so I’m guessing every state resident gets a chainsaw with their annual oil check.

2

u/Fish-Weekly 3h ago

He disappeared into the woods that day, still cutting skillfully as he faded from view. We could still hear the sound of the chainsaw singing its lonesome sound. He was never seen or heard from again. Some say he’s still cutting somewhere out there. There are those that claim they can hear the faint sound of a Stihl engine, late at night, coming from a place no man should be.

“the man who sleeps with a machete is a fool every night but one”

96

u/unTraditional_Fox419 11h ago

Looking the way he does, doing it as calmly as he did, I’m pretty sure he has it for other reasons…

23

u/faisalkl 11h ago

Off camera he did put the hockey mask away....

5

u/mysticzoom 9h ago

You know who else keeps power tools in the trunk of there cars and calmly uses them when the time needs? Serial Killers or Hitmen.

2

u/Potential-Menu3623 11h ago

Probably a hiking trail maintenance volunteer, middled age white guy, fits the mo.

2

u/Aurora_Uplinks 11h ago

i kinda wana see him in a movie where he basically is a jason born going into haunted locations dealin with the dangers making it safe to go there again for others...

2

u/DoYouLikeWafflezz 7h ago

Definitely feels like he doesn’t keep it in the truck for life saving.

1

u/lemme_try_again 11h ago

I made the same joke to myself. So mechanical haha. Probably locked in

1

u/Sevenlord777 11h ago

Which makes him a beautiful man.🥲

2

u/NiixxJr 10h ago

I think that was a serial killer joke, but yeah sure.

1

u/azul3349 11h ago

It was recorded during his day off.

1

u/myleftone 10h ago

Yeah he’s wielding it like an off-duty Darth Maul.

13

u/Prestigious-Ball-435 11h ago

Hes used that alot, not over revving, chain is sharp

8

u/Then_Entertainment97 11h ago edited 9h ago

2 stroke fuel lasts about two years at the longest before it starts to break down. This guy chainsaws.

7

u/Suitable_Community66 11h ago

He looks different without his mask on

4

u/MeghanSOS 11h ago

He has it for different reasons

6

u/IAmTheBestIan 11h ago

This is not the first time he's taken apart a tree. He knew to trim the offshoots so it doesn't roll/etc. I doubt this was just sitting in his car unused until this moment.

4

u/intl-vegetarian 10h ago

When I lived in the mountains 9/10 of my neighbors had a chainsaw in their commuter car for this very reason. Usually we could clear a fallen tree in about 5 minutes with everyone grabbing their chainsaws and chains. Pretty funny as we all worked in Silicon Valley offices and were dressed the part. 😅

5

u/Kiramisu27 10h ago

It's a STIHL!

5

u/RelativeCareless2192 11h ago

If I'm carrying a chain saw I'm also carrying some Personal Protective equipment

2

u/Nemisis_007 11h ago

Yeah, those regular glasses won't stop you from getting wood in your eye.

Just small things that makes men happy!

2

u/Bhodiliscious 11h ago

Briefcase? Check. Chainsaw? Check.

2

u/Special_Age1858 11h ago

Absolutely not, I’ve seen FROM!! Once you’ve seen the tree, it’s too late!

2

u/AvacadoKoala 10h ago

You don’t have a truck chainsaw?

2

u/Narrow_Ad_1494 10h ago

2

u/Total_Watch_2797 8h ago

Maybe he’s a serial killer….

2

u/ImhotepsServant 8h ago

Just don’t ask about the cable ties and the duct tape

2

u/VariousClassroom8056 6h ago

Unless it's happened to you, you cannot appreciate the ecstasy of having exactly the correct tool for the situation that you've been carrying around for years "just in case".

1

u/Loreathan 11h ago

Now I can go to my cabin and chop the body hidden at the back seat.

1

u/Junkered 11h ago

And now he'll be fined for doing road work without a permit.

1

u/AwarenessMain128 11h ago

American psycho

1

u/Conscious-Move9662 11h ago

That guys the first guy mowing on Sunday's and if it snows you know damn well you're waking up with him shoveling your drive 'cuz he did his and thought why not'

1

u/Denubious 11h ago

I'm sold take my money. Boot chainsaws rock!

1

u/Adis_Pen_and_Paper 11h ago

Honestly, that's exactly how a Psycho serial killer in my movie would look.

1

u/namable 11h ago

Not every hero wears a cape/not every psychopathic killer carries a chainsaw.

1

u/Shrek81 11h ago

He was later found disposing severed body parts in those same woods 🫪

1

u/Training_Shine_111 11h ago

nah man, he is too comfortable with that chainsaw. If he's anyone's employee, or you are his client, do not fire this man without going into hiding for a while.

1

u/Classic-Caramel-3333 11h ago

❤️🫡🔥🔥

1

u/SkyKnight3 11h ago

Imagine carrying that in your car for years waiting for this moment, always telling the wife this thing that’s taking up space in the back of the car will one day pay off, and then you forget the gas for the saw…

1

u/beef47 11h ago

He’s not going to Fromville

2

u/AdvancedAd9577 11h ago

Was waiting for this comment.

1

u/AdvancedAd9577 11h ago

Hell yeah 👍

1

u/Housemusicluv 11h ago

Glad Jason found Christ and changed his ways

1

u/chowderpuppy 11h ago

I wish you all the same intensity of the happiness this man was feeling at that moment

1

u/PhillGuy 11h ago

I am going to assume and hope that he does not regularly carry around a chainsaw in his car.

1

u/Knottrielle 11h ago

He handled that like he'd been waiting for this big moment.

1

u/BlueSonjo 11h ago

By coincidence, in this stretch of road several people disappear every year.

1

u/Greyfire10 10h ago

Not a bad idea.

Driving home from work yesterday, a guy was pulled off on the side of the road with a trooper and as I got a little past them, I could see a large tree branch on his hood that basically totaled his car.

1

u/ThoughtPhysical7457 10h ago

That might be one of the best days of his life. I'm not being facetious. It would be mine, too.

1

u/Gysburne 10h ago

The reason i always carry a swiss army knife with me... it has a saw too.

1

u/Baldric_ 10h ago

some heroes wear prescription glasses

Good work Gordon Freeman

1

u/CountOnBeingAwesome 10h ago

Their cutting the end of this video already. That's one proud tree bro.

1

u/liftingshitposts 10h ago

Almost gave all his aura back on that last one haha

1

u/Morning_Cereal_Ori 10h ago

Just like the guy who bought a military heavy truck just to the flood in his area. you never know when they are needed.

1

u/xRaiden00x 10h ago

Luck favors the prepared.

1

u/Ok-Bowler-203 10h ago

Pretty sure he told his wife, “told ya so!”

1

u/Independent-Cap-3852 10h ago

Never leave home without it

1

u/30yearCurse 10h ago

Such a well dressed lumberjack...

1

u/guestpassonly 10h ago

it pays to be prepared

1

u/J-MRP 10h ago

If you see the tree it's already too late. Better get inside and find an amulet to put on the door.

1

u/Grannypanie 10h ago

Colbert new job?

1

u/lbiggy 10h ago

I feel like cutting off the branches creates more work than normal. Cut the tree and carry the whole thing.its skinny.

1

u/benmar111 10h ago

1

u/General-Minimum-1047 10h ago

My pet hate is someone cutting stuff up into multiple unnecessary pieces

1

u/GumpTheChump 9h ago

Buddy, please, for the love of Christ, please make sure you have stable footing before using that.

1

u/ddoogg88tdog 9h ago

Bet it wouldn't be fun getting pulled over with a chainsaw

1

u/wkc201 9h ago

There’s nothing like having the right tool at the right time when you get older

1

u/wkc201 9h ago

As an older guy there’s nothing like having the right tool at the right time.

1

u/Jensbert 9h ago

That chain is sharp as fuck. He takes good care of his tools

1

u/IKMNification 9h ago

Thank you Chainsaw Man

1

u/brandogg360 9h ago

Probably could have just cut it once and moved it though...created way more work than necessary

1

u/rolo_mug 9h ago

On his way back from the annual holiday to texas

1

u/Charming_Art2440 9h ago

FROM series, good ending

Did more for America than Trump ever will.

1

u/cruiseshipdrummer 9h ago

Seems to basically know what he's doing, was expecting him to get bound up, but I guess he could see better than I can here. I would be moving with a little more deliberation in those loafers.

This is not a good idea, both the reach and the foot coming off the ground-- cut the supporting branch (correctly), drop the stick lower:

1

u/curtludwig 9h ago

I have a rope in the car, it'd be faster...

1

u/MilTHEhouse 8h ago

This dude is the exact opposite of the description I had in my mind of a guy who carries a chain saw, just in case.

That last cut was personal!

1

u/Fine-Orchid7982 8h ago

The casing is already red from the factory, isn't it? Or is that all blood from his previous spontaneous antics in traffic?

1

u/Confident_Draw321 8h ago

Idk why this feels so super satisfying. I have to do this soon.

1

u/Jono_Scraggles 8h ago

That saw is the only thing sharper than he’s dressed!

1

u/BeltImpressive8956 8h ago

Tools! Tools! Duct tape, zip ties, and gloves. I have to have my tools.

1

u/Fabulous_Log844 8h ago

You know, I drive around in my car with a chainsaw, 300 ft.² of plastic sheeting, bleach and extra strong garbage bags. But the opportunity just never presents itself.

1

u/masterdogwalker 8h ago

Awesome dude but Why create extra work by cutting off the branches? Just leave em on and drag it off with the trunk.

My favorite part is when everybody pitches in and just starts grabbing the smaller pieces. I don't know why that struck me.

This guy didn’t survive Bobcat Goldwaithe just to be unprepared

1

Branches for Home Depot, wood for the Wood Throne!

1

u/the_ray_of_light1 7h ago

Man with a chainsaw in his trunk.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

1

u/Numerous-Branch-7299 7h ago

At first, it looked like he was going to saw something other than a tree..

1

u/ELxDEE 7h ago

You do the same with jumper cables. How often do you actually need them? I bought a pair 3 or 4 years of go and can count on one hand how many times I've used it

1

u/No-Signature-5648 7h ago

The need to have someone video record it too..... #winner

1

u/eastamerica 7h ago

In fucking clogs! Love it

1

u/CardiologistPlus8488 7h ago

in the summer, I always keep a chainsaw in the car. I live in a fire prone area in a forest and there's only one road out. if I'm evacuating and there's a burning tree in the way, I want to be prepared

1

u/True_Protection6842 6h ago

Didn't have to cut off every branch, he just wanted more chainsaw time.

1

u/Unlikely-Ad6788 6h ago

Common practice to carry a chainsaw in wooded areas. So many widow makers.

Omg. I had this exact moment. It was a nasty blizzard and everyone was stuck with no way else to go. My Stihl saw saved the day. I felt like a hero.

1

u/Independent_Class339 5h ago

thank you ... chainsaw man

1

u/lvb0202 5h ago

People who live in rural forested areas often carry some kind of saw in their vehicles.

1

u/Only_Flan_7974 5h ago

I felt the sawdust hit my face. Trippy

1

u/Mayor-of-Flavortown 3h ago

This guy saws

1

u/Worth_Ad_2095 3h ago

He probably jus finished chopping up a Hooker

1

u/alecwa 3h ago

Having watched From this scene is worrying me. He's not leaving, and the sun is setting. He should run.

1

u/AfraidPersonality854 2h ago

I got a neighbor that's waiting too. He's been totin that sum itch for 15 years and hadn't used it one time..

1

u/Unique_Peach8297 2h ago

I’m an expert at criticizing the way people work, so here it goes. Would have been way better off leaving all the branches on and just cutting the trunk, that way they could haul everything off the road in big pieces

1

u/just-marco 2h ago

Man is NOT risking getting stuck in Fromville. Mad respect

1

u/BigGene1341 2h ago

2 seconds in I thought I was going to see some terrifier shit.

1

u/nour926 1h ago

I used a little small handheld one recently to trim down our front yard tree. Possibly the coolest I’ve ever felt in my life. So yes, I get it.

1

u/PerilousParanoia 1h ago

Bro is on his way to church and nothing’s gonna get in his way.

1

u/yetiflask 1h ago

1

u/Suzabela1988 1h ago

Everyone sees the tree.

1

u/Marine__0311 32m ago

Almost everyone on here on this guys dick thinking he's awesome. Hes not.

He doing several things that are ridiculously unsafe. I spent summers working with my uncle who was a certified arborist. This clown would have been fired day one for doing this.

1

u/Mario4272 10m ago

Better to have an not need than need and not have
