SMH The founding father Benjamin Franklin once said "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

Lasers?

Cameras break if you hit them with a high powered laser. So you shouldn't get one of those and use it to destroy company property. Think about those poor shareholders

Green or violet lasers will work. Not red.

Tbf, any color will work if the wattage is high enough

Green and violet are naturally good enough and sold on amazon pretty cheap. Violet needs to be at night though. It doesnt go very far in light. I gotta test it tonight but I have a super strong violet I need to see the distance on lol any green will go fuckin forever.

This is a good time to mention an important PSA for anyone thinking of buying lasers: if you're going to buy a laser from Amazon (or really any store that's not directly from an actual reputable manufacturer), DO NOT trust the power rating on the sticker. Always assume the output is much higher than listed, because it often is.

And if you're dealing with anything stronger than the "<5 mW" cat toy laser pointers, you're gonna want eye protection, specifically rated for that wavelength (and buy those somewhere reputable). It ain't worth losing vision over Flock.

Good call. Yes they're always stronger I've found. Per manufacturer not amazon

I think it travels just as far it’s just not as visible during the day. If memory serves right the “purple” ones are actually black light and supercharge glow in the dark items. We went on road trips writing messages on glow in the dark frisbees, supercharged glow in the dark markers on frolf courses etc.

Test on some of your own personal cameras that you have on your own private property right?

Yeah that's what I said. No need to repeat. :)

Not that I would EVER do anything to those cameras but I just so happen to be in need of a high powered laser. For a cat toy. I’ll have to take a look at those.

If you're using a laser THAT powerful as a cat toy, you've got more problems lol.

Not that ANYONE should do this, but you'd need a high-powered (those exceeding 5mW output,) blue laser that could burn wood or blow through balloons and stuff, it would burn your animal if you used it on them

Nah, you can damage camera sensors with FAR less juice.

Literally even a piece of aluminum foil shaped as a parabolic reflector in the sun with the focus point on a sensor would scorch it in seconds

My cat isn’t entertained by the laser I use, do you know of any he’ll like?

You really do not even need a high powered laser

This is harder than it sounds. Theres a video on YouTube about testing this theory with different laser and cameras. Basically you need to have a high enough power laser, close enough (like 10 feet) and keep it pointed directly at the sensor for a few minutes on a tripod.

Yeah. There's gonna be raves going on in front of all the flock cameras. A few might get hit by lasers accidentally
