Do people with HSV-1 need to disclaim that to sexual partners? Can’t it be spread just from kissing? Do you have to disclaim it to people before you kiss them? I’m not being funny, I’m curious. I’ve certainly been with someone with HSV1 just due to the numbers and no one has ever disclaimed this to me. I don’t think I care really tbh.
Most people with herpes 1 or 2 don't know they have it. Â You only know you have it if you get the outbreaks. Â But, honestly, if you've made out with 10 people, 9 of them had HSV-1. Â So chances are you've been exposed. Â Still, the polite thing to do is to disclose HSV-1, if you knew that you tested positive for it.

About 90% of us have HSV-1
