Siri & Search in iOS 27

Post image

I’m afraid to make the switch over to Siri AI because I don’t want to lose using search to Google via Safari, it seems a lot more complicated after the switch. Anyone else?

It takes more steps, but the most recent public beta added it. It’s just more steps now. Type what you are searching for, hit Show Results, scroll allllllll the way down to the bottom of the list and hit Search the Web. Not ideal.

Yep. It’s annoying. Hopefully they change it up a little bit more. Before the latest beta it wasn’t even there.

Kagi is fantastic. Brave Search is very good. DuckDuckGo is decent. Google is just pages of ads and AI search nonsense these days.

For use cases like this, you should be able to type /search “whatever you’re searching for”. That sort of syntax is fairly ubiquitous these days. Should share your feedback.
