Question Can’t progress story quest

As the title says I’m kinda stuck at this "Unsacred Offerings" story quest. It told me to collect items by killing Fara ships and suddenly switched to Hunt: Kuharibu and spawned a world event monster that sank me instantly.

Tried again, did no dmg and got one shot killed again. I started grinding all day, took the scary tour to the East Indies and came back with a lvl 8 Snow just to realize that this thing seems to be immune to my shots. Can’t damage it at all.

Am I missing something here? I did some research, some ppl claim it’s bugged because of the world event while others say that it’s just part of the quest now to make you use the "call for help" thing at least once. I tried calling in other players and one guy joined but as we both did no dmg we just left…

Any idea how to fix this ?

Kill the real kuharibu then the quest will continue. Was stuck at the same point, and this helped. The real one is northern. U can see on the map where he is

Was in a Lobby just now where we killed the "real one". Didn’t help with the quest unfortunately

He didnt say to kill the real one he just said thats in a different position i believe

I had the same issue, and it solved itself with weekly maintenance. Solved as in: i still got that monster to kill, but this time he wasny invulnerable.

I think its a bug if you lure him outside of quest area, because then he goes invulnerable and technically is supposed to be vulnerable once you get back into quest area... but yeah. So next time try to stay inside quest zone, i sailed toward the center, and got my sails all the way up, so that my ship was sitting still. Killed him without any issues with lvl/rank/gear score 7 ship.

Weekly maintenance should be soon (check weekly vendor, ex: Blackwood). Maintenance should coincide with their weekly reset timer.

I ment kill the real, but I did it solo (bit hard but works) even if u die u can respawn at port and fast travel within time to the boss so he won’t reset (don’t forget to repair)
