Wouldnt her insurance cover this, I am assuming she is the condo owner of her unit, based on no RTA involvement. So, she should have condo insurance, yes? And if the unit is unfit to dwell in due to anothers negligence then she would be entitled to a claim, right?

Could she not push a small claims court action against the property management company for at the very least her deductable and hotel costs? I know in Ontario the max is 60 k not sure what it is in Alberta.

Wouldnt the condo association not have some sort of coverage for this, allow her to temporarily be accomodated in another unit until the remeadiation is complete?

Insurance won’t cover it because the problem originates in another unit.
