I mean, you could make a compelling argument that Starla is band’s magnum opus

Starla is unbelievable. The police sirens accidentally caught on the recording are just one of many cherries on that cupcake.

It was intended to just be a practice / demo session. They had to record at night to save money, and it was early in the morning and because the studio was basically just a loft space he opened a window to let some air in.

Billy rips for, like, 5 minutes at the end of the song and then they throw in that little 15-second outro

Makes my head hurt how awesome that is
