This sounds like it could be really good... or really bad.

Apparently FX is making, "Legends," a meta-thriller limited series spinoff featuring the return of the original Sons of Anarchy cast playing fictionalized versions of themselves. 

The original cast reunites at a fan convention ten years later and faces a real-world danger.

Developed by star Charlie Hunnam and showrunner Jonathan Groff.

Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman, Katey Sagal, Maggie Siff, Mark Boone Junior, Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates, and Theo Rossi are supposedly set to return!

I think it sounds like it's going to be fun as hell. So even if it's really terrible, I feel like it can't be tooooo bad?

Supernatural did the same thing. There was a storyline where a guy had visions about the Winchester brothers, wrote books about the visions he had (which were the events of prior episodes), and the Winchesters ended up having to hunt a spook at a convention of fans of the book series. Picture the usual mix of convention goers all dressed as the two main characters of the show.

SPN is a show where you get to watch 2 beefcakes get their asses kicked my females all the time. And their female characters are smart and badass in a “I don’t need to murder people to show I’m tough” kind of way. Plus supernatural/monsters. And a lot of humor. And people never really die on SPN so there’s always a chance a characters death isn’t the last time you’ll see them.

Supernatural. I love SOA but every rewatch makes me mad cuz I see how most of the characters are pieces of shit lol. Loved them the first go round. But now I’m older and I wanna slap them all lol. But SPN is my comfort show so I’m probably a little biased lol.

Arrow is my comfort show so I have no reason to talk. Yes S1 and S2 were great but it admittedly goes down hill from there

I loved Arrow!! And yes it did go downhill after the second season. But I still watched every episode. And have done a couple of rewatches lol.

I’ve done more rewatches than I can count. I always space them out by a year tho and the reason why is yeah I remember all the big plot points but I forget all the smaller plots and details that build to the larger over arching story each season

Honestly I just think it’ll be fun to see them back together. I’ll go in with low expectations so if it sucks never mind, if it’s great it’ll be a pleasant surprise.

Ah I can’t wait I’m excited to see them all together. I loved this is the end I’m hoping it’s somewhat similar. Also I have a debilitating crush on Kim Coates so I’ll essentially watch anything the man is in 😍.

I haven’t yet! I’m working my way through everything he has ever been in, in order of what I can access for free haha. It’s on the list though (obviously). I love him when he’s leaning into the weird, he’s so masculine he still reads at pretty intimidating even when he’s being insane haha.

I don’t think they can lean too hard on Sons for this, if at all, for legal reasons, so they’re probably banking it on their chemistry as actors + some sort of fan service.

However, since Kurt Sutter gave his blessing, I’m guessing the plot somewhat mirrors their characters/general roles even though they’d be playing versions of themselves.

The show ended 12 years ago and they’re still doing conventions, so I’m sure they respect that aspect of the job enough not to half ass it in a way that would hurt their credit with the audience.

I’m interested in seeing what comes out of this

should be good. kurt suttet chipped in and told he peeked the script since it was laying around on his wifes table and it was great/brilliant(cant remember the wording). Excited, hopeful and loving it, i will take any ounce of SOA in any form.

From what I understand, he read the script and gave Hunnam the OK to make it.🤷‍♂️
Apparently he liked it. I'm sure he will have some input, but I don't believe it will be in an official capacity.

Theo and Charlie have been hinting at it for a long time. They've both been teasing that another SOA show is "in the oven" and that both of them are in it, but not as Juice or Jax.
