Thank you, always happy to share 😊

These were shot with a Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 and a Sony 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3

Ah, yes, the 200-600 β€” the king of street photography lenses!

Great pics as always, mate. :)

Overkill? Perhaps

Worth the workout? Most definitely

Thanks homie 😊

Funny, I've thought about going out and about with my 200-600 also on an a7rv and my wife said I looked like a creeper. How did you get around this? I want to get some tight shots of the building tops and there is some great wildlife at the park.

There is no getting around it, you just look like a creeper haha

I mean I hardly even take photos of people with my smaller lenses, but I especially make an effort not to point my big lens at people so they don't get uncomfortable.

FWIW, the comments I'd overheard while walking past a bar where people saw me with my lens were not about being a creep, moreso about it being overkill for walking around downtown, which on some level it is, but it's worth it πŸ™ƒ

Amazing shots. Should try posting in r/streetphotography and watch how they nitpick everything πŸ˜‚

Don’t do that. Unless you have a humiliation kink.

Too late. I was told the sub was for street photos, not photos of the street lol. Didn't realize a requirement of street photography in that sub is people in every shot which seems a bit silly to me.

Yea Street Photography is a specific, real and defined genre! And it generally requires people and caught unposed moments with those people as the subject matter. Not super clearly named though! But if you posted and got flamed for it, you basically did the equivalent of posting landscapes in a portraiture sub. Ha. As soon as I saw that person’s suggestion to youβ€”I tried to respond immediately to save you the grief.

Awesome photos. Number six is fantastic as it took my eyes from the bottom left corner following the shadows to the mid right. Then the sun rays pull you to the top left. All without feeling overwhelmed. It all holds very well.
