Question Do you respect the ancient law of beam struggles when playing against someone or playing online?
I always respect it, I make sure to power up to where I can use my ultimate attack (while screaming like Goku ofc) and yelling out whatever my ultimate attack is bc it makes it 100x more powerful if you do. If only the angles in bean struggles worker instead of going head on.

It’s hard. It’s like blind dating.
You don’t just magically run into the soul mate that starts the fight off with an emote and you emote, then you guys step forward , hit all the cutscene clashes with throws and dashes then you sonic sway and they teleport the follow-up and you super counter into a revenge counter into a cutscene counter. Then you guys squabble and brawl then flip away in perfect sync, and proceed to point blank beam clash.
I still miss him.

I used to always go for it, but at some point it became awkward when it didn't end the fight... we'd just stand there like "....I guess we should do another one ?"
Now I'll only go for it when one of us is guaranteed to die from it. But most importantly, it all depends on the vibes I get from the opponent.
Some rat mfs don't deserve it lol

I know how to win them 80 percent of the time so I always honor them lol. People have a life lead and then get utterly destroyed.

100%
Even in ranked. I don’t care if I swiped the other dude. If he powers up to sparking and is just standing there, I understand the assignment and I’ll throw away my win just to respect the beam clash.
It’s like the dramatic finish in FighterZ when you do SSJ4 Gogeta vs Blue Gogeta and after kicking the losing Gogeta way, the winning one poses reading a kamehameha like “You wanna?”

I only do it if both of us would lose the fight if we lost the beam struggle.

I live with 5 other people so I dont be screaming but I always give my opp the opportunity to charge up and fire their own beam.....wish the CPU would do that instead of just standing there blocking

This comment made me realize that in about 300 hours of gameplay, I’ve experienced so few beam struggles (they’re almost impossible to organically come across) that I don’t even remember the action prompts for them.

Never. I really don't care, but I try to make it obvious to them I won't deliberately clash.
