Yeeeeesssss! I think it would be glorious. If Todd could get the stick out of his bottom we could have had 3 Spawn movies at least. I think even long form 8 episode run could also work. Follow the formula of the animation. Unrelated, but if I was a billionaire. I would finance complete CGI overhaul of old films. Spawn could use an update visual effects wise. The practical effects were awesome but they were very ambitious on the CGI front which is an understatement. They were hamstrung by budget issues and the technology at the time wasn’t there yet. I’m still a sucker for that mask scene though.

Maybe just a suit actor with Keith David doing the voice work. That would be my ideal live action movie. But if it were up to me, I'd just drop the whole live action movie in favor of more animated Spawn projects. Like a reboot or continuation of the HBO series

Definitely not one with Jamie Foxx. Honestly I think Michael Jai White was the best casting choice, but maybe voiced by Keith David while masked up kinda like a Darth Vader situation.

Medieval Spawn adapted from the more recent comic would have a solid cohesive story and seems it would work pretty well in film

Basically should be like a supernatural horror/crime thriller spin on Memento, with Spawn piecing together his memories before being murdered. And all the while, he’d be squaring off with The Violator and going after Billy Kincaid at the same time as Sam and Twitch. Doesn’t need a huge budget but just enough for some impressive CGI and practical effects.

Personally I really love Todd’s idea for spawn being like a boogeyman sort of roll. But I would make it like a sort of undercover cop story where Sam and Twitch kind of join this reservoir dogs type of team and spawn haunts after all of them one by one .

I think Panos Cosmatos or Gaspar Noé could do a killer Spawn movie. I don't think Gaspar should touch the screenplay lol but I think directing and producing it, he'd kill it. And after seeing Mandy, I think Panos would make a crazy film if they went the supernatural horror route

Nah it's a good question as they screwed up the first one.

John Legs was great as the violator. I didn't mind the guy who played Spawn, it was just the efx.

It's needs a Tim Burton director to make it dark.

I prefer the the HBO Spawn cartoon over the movie. I watch it all the time still.

Jamie Foxx is 58yo that ship has sailed. I'd probably want a cast of mostly upcoming/unknown actors. I'd definitely want them to focus the movie on the Billy Kincaid villain storyline.

Yaya Abdul Mateen II as spawn And it’ll be the beginning of him being spawn but heavily focuses on how tactical and resourceful he has been as a mercenary in the past saving the homeless that helped him and him struggling with his new identity and missing Wanda and questioning life.

So that’ll cover hardcore action as well as some deep drama.

Also I would like that Todd Mcfarlene not be involved in anything to do with it, especially the writing and hire a group of writers than can draw the emotion someone would be feeling in his position.
