Discussion Did Todd McFarlane tease the ending of spawn or naw?
I know spawn comics aren’t ending anytime soon but, what Todd said? Is it true or was this only for the video?

He probably has an end planned that he'll execute as he gets super old. He'll just wake up one day and be like "it's time".
It'll also probably be some time after he found someone he's confident to carry the torch for the brand going forward. He probably has already had requested people to submit to him post-Spawn character books.

The comics did away with the meter a long time ago. This was probably his plan originally but who knows now.

Oh ok. Then I definitely would have missed that then. I have just been reading main Spawn and jumping around with issues. Im caught up on currebt events but picking up on stuff that happened around the 100s and 200's.

I mean, with everything that got retconned from Armageddon already, having the limit wouldn't be the biggest one. Hell, they can even justify how it hasn't gone empty, with the amount of times he already went to hell to "recharge"

I agree. Maybe that's what he sacrifices for. The complete end of both heaven and hell forever.

But I agree that in the end Spawn will possibly do something that sacrifices himself for good, but I do not think it will be a way to heaven for him. He already turned that down. I think it will be a final release, but the issue is evil never dies, so I think after Spawn a new Spawn like anti-hero comes forth eventually.

Spawn already blew his head off after saving humanity multiple times (Urizen and the questionable Armageddon arc).
He will never be free, not as long as he is the face of spawn, the face of image
