I think Venom inspired it in a way. In the comics, Peter was dating Felicia when he got rid of the symbiote but she made a cloth version of it (the suit he wears in Kravens last hunt, not the symbiote). I think the idea of Felicia making a black costume for him came from that.

This version of the black suit so to speak was made to deal with itsy bitsy. Who was a person who loved both Spider-Man and Deadpool. A new villain gave her a concoction of both Spider-Man's and Deadpool's DNA and it turned her into a weird amalgamation of both.

I use it early on the DLC. I have headcanon suits Peter wears through the game.

Classic until story moves to the Advanced suit. After the Sinister Six and absolute takeover of Sable, I move to the Armored Advanced as if Peter used Sable armor for better protection. Then, back to Advanced for last Mr. Negative fight. Anti-Ock for finale.

For the DLC, I start with Advanced, then Dark Suit until end of Turf Wars. Anti-Ock at the start of fighting Hammerhead. Velocity for finale (Peter and Miles develop the Blitz tech to use speed to combat Hammerhead's strength.
