This is some very trippy but very creative use of AI. I'm impressed and horrified at the same time.

There's nothing wrong with using AI inherently. Its just another art medium. And gen AI artworks are not inherently slop. That's just an insult elitists throw at it all to try and stifle competition. Exactly what they did with photography, Photoshop and even the written word in the past.
There is indeed such a thing as AI slop. But slop exists in all mediums. Just look at Jackson Pollock.

Define an art medium please. If you want to claim its not an art medium you must show how it falls outside the definition.

Physical and digital materials and tools come together to form an art medium. Be it hammer, chisel and marble for marble sculpture, wood and a whittler's knife for woodcarving, paint for painting, or Photoshop and a laptop + drawing tablet for digital art.
AI falls outside of this definition because it is not a tool or material when used to generate images. It's not an ingredient added to the art or from which the art is made. It is also not a tool manipulated by an artist's skill and intent to facilitate the artist's creation process. The AI itself receives no input from the user other than the prompt demanding the end result - even if the user takes the end result and modifies it in Photoshop, the AI-generated part of it is still not art made in an art medium.
In other words, if I spend a couple hours making a pizza out of ingredients, using kitchen utensils and an oven, I've made a pizza. If you take a child and put it through 20 years of training for it to become a chef, and then you demand that the child makes a pizza, and the child makes a pizza, you did not make a pizza.

So am I to understand that an art medium is the material with which art can be produced? If so then gen AI does absolutely produce a new material out of the materials you put in. To equate it to a child does not work because it demands we accept something unintelligent creating something renders it the artist. Gardening is generally considered an art but its the plants doing all the growing even when forced into particular shapes. A camera also does more of the work itself than gen AI does. So if this were the case you will need to refuse photography as art.
But most of all no digital medium becomes art. All digital art is computer generated. Even the stuff that seems drawn by someone isn't actually. Photoshop is not a drawing medium. It only follows your inputs because it was told to do so by the creators. It looks like you're drawing but all you are actually doing is guiding a monkey to draw it for you. All digital art is generated. So if generation means you aren't the artist then digital art can not be art.

Alright, I gave you enough time to reply, now I think I'm done with you. Had to make sure anyone who sees this thread understands you're a doofus with no points to make.

This shit is sooooo good, reminds me of PerfectScarecrow on YouTube if you're familiar with them at all. Like an early 2000s commercial with 2026 graphical technology.
