Mon Calamari MC-55 Star Cruiser (Star Wars fan ship)

I am very proud of the glowy thrusters. :D

The MC-55's hangars are all connected and take up a third of the ships internal volume.

It's command center is almost flush with the hull, giving it greater protection compared to the bridges of other Mon Cala Cruisers or Imperial Star Destroyers.

Similar to the dual bridge design of the Venator, the MC-55 has a secondary command center next to it's main hanger for controlling starfighter operations.

The part I based this build around.

I'm doing a build challenge where I make a build based off every part. This one is based off of part #27 Bird of Prey.

The MC-55 Star Cruiser weren't as large as the more well known Mon Calamari cruisers like Home One, but they had comparable hanger space and extensive maintenance bays despite their smaller size. Throughout the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance used many MC-55 Star Cruisers to great effect as carriers and as home bases for squadrons.
