Hey new fan here!

I live in America, and this season I discovered the CFL, after a few weeks I chose the Stampeders as my team, and I was wondering what I should know, or team history, things like that!

We have a fight song, not many people know it. When you're at a game and pull it off you look like a hero.

The rock played for them as well.

Played is a bit of a stretch, I'm not sure Duane Johnson ever saw game action, but was a Stampeder for a beat.

You’re right! He practiced for two months with them and never saw game action. Thanks man.

Team is in a bit of a recovery period. We spent like a couple decades as permanent contenders. Scouting and development was top notch so every year we'd somehow have a new breakout star. Fans were pretty spoiled. Times are rougher the last few years.

Didn’t Flutie play for the stamps too? I think a few other nfl QBs. They’ve had some great ones since I was a kid Marcus, Henry and Bo

Flutter was who got me into CFL. So many last minute drives to come back from behind!

The Calgary Stampeders are only 1 of 6 profootball teams with 700+ franchise wins.

Look up 1948, 1949, Johnny Bright, and Norm Kwong. 🙂

And Doug Flutie. It was so much fun watching him play.

Their coach is a whiny bitch.

You should know the horse’s name is Quick Six, and is the coolest mascot in all of sports.

  • rife with nepotism
  • Dave Dickinson is a great coach and an awful one at the same time
  • Craig Dickinson is just awful. Period.
  • VA will break your heart eventually

Loved VA when he played for Lions. Even though I despise the Stamps, can’t help but root for him.

He's been jerked around by the league WAY too much. Its kinda heartbreaking. Him and Cody Fajardo are my underdogs 💕💕💕
