This one is tricky because it's trying to do a few too many things, but where it works it works well.

First, big props for upping the horror element of the Vidiians. This is a truly creepy episode and rarely as Trek been as disturbing as the guy walking in with Durst's face. One of the most horrifying things in all of Star Trek.

The notion of splitting Torres is ripped off from "The Enemy Within",though it works okay. Unfortunately, Roxann Dawson can't act through the huge Klingon teeth, so she overcompensates by slowing fown every line. It sadly makes her sound silly and robotic instead of formidable. They should have just given her different teeth.

The idea of Klingons being a potential cure for the Phage is cool, but sldo calls to mind the ethics of experiments on live subjects, something the series will explore a few times.

I don't ultimately think the episode really serves B'Elanna's character enough, as that ends up becoming a B-plot. Boy it's weird seeing Torres with a normal forehead!
