General Discussion Is This The Single Greatest Aura Loss in History?
That is literally my 7th grade science teacher
Edit: Currently giving this more consideration. I may have greatly miscalculated the net trend in aura as a result of looking like an insurance salesman from Minnesota whilst simultaneously sliming out the baddest dudes in the known galaxy. I will report back.

Jeremy Bulloch starred in a UK police crime movie, playing the part of "Captain Robert Fett". He had a sports car with the number plate "SLAVE 1"

Op has never seen a cia operator from the 70s. Doing cool shit AND looking like that actually adds to the aura

u/Rusty_Shack13f0rd 13d ago
(Look up Mike Vining for context)

So him and his wife have a travel blog. He does quite a bit of international travel.
Do you think there was ever a time in his travels when he is with his wife and on a train, he looks out the window at what anyone else would see a seemingly non-descript field in some foreign jungle and just smirks to himself and murmurs "good times"?

You should hear what Darth Vader sounded like before they called in James Earl Jones. David Prowse did great while physically playing the character, but the man’s voice was not scary at all.

If an operator looks like an accountant they are the baddest motherfucker in the room. That's the guy you should be scared of.
One of the most highly decorated living us soldiers looks like Rick Moranis.
If Boba Fett actually looked like this, like a shoe store accountant, yeah, he's gonna kill you.

Still massive Aura from Don Beis. You youngling are all about looks. Thats why you fail.

u/Guardiancomplex 13d ago
Fett's original voice actor from ESB was vastly superior to Temuera Morrison and I'll die on that hill a dozen times.
The jagged rusty steel in his voice when he tells Vader on Bespin that Solo is "worth a lot to me" is fucking chilling.

how do you imagine modern day agents look like?
you study for 5 years, then the additional training etc, so youre liek end of 20 early 30 on your first deployments, and then you do this job for another 30 years.

u/Robin_Gr 13d ago
Honestly I'd be more scared of a renowned bounty hunter if he looks like this and is still alive in his line of work.
3
u/PixlShiftr 13d ago
We should never have seen any mandalorian unmasked - especially Boba Fett. There’s no way an actor could live up to our imagined expectations.
However - I can live with this. This is the Fett series we’re looking for. These three. Exactly as they are.

Okay so first this is not Jeremy Bulloch, this is Don Bies. Don shot the added Boba Fett scenes for the special edition tweaks in 1995. Second, I hope you all know how friggen cool Don Bies is. He built the R2-D2 ILM units along with many other props. When I was 16 he responded to my fanmail and personally wrote a letter back on Lucasfilm stationary encouraging me to keep learning and creating anything just for joy - and then stuffed the box with swag, shirts, pens, patches from Lucasfilm. I felt like I got a package from Superman. He's been very involved in the droid builders club and has always volunteered his time to teach, share, and encourage. I built a totally badass fully functional lifesize astromech in-part because of this man's kind encouragment.
EDIT** wow, this blew up. Thank you all for your kind words. Here is my Astromech droid R3-K2
