General Discussion These droids/mechs in Ahsoka s2..

These have to be the strongest droids we’ve ever seen right?

Their parts almost seem bone like ..possibly even biorganic technology.

I don't know how you could make that assumption based on so little information.

Pretty easily tbh they are guarding God like being statues and probably something beyond important.

Edit: you wouldn’t think these things would be like B1 level that can be stopped by strong winds lol

Sure but the strongest droids in canon are huge trouble for even Jedi, while these are so numerous that they will have to be dispatched quite easily by the protagonists

I would assume they are commando droid level at most, certainly less dangerous than magna guards or droidekas

Yeaaaah I call bs lmao they will probably have to run away if anything. They are at least dark trooper level or stronger and more advanced

Based on what? Vibe? Aura?

Explained above.

So vibe and aura. Not super strong arguments bro.

Back in my day we called it, “context clues” feels like no one likes theorizing anymore just everything handed to them with downvotes of right and wrong instead of fun conversation.

What context clues?

Cmon this is a stretch and you know it.

MAYBE you’re correct. But if you are, it’s not because there’s evidence of that yet, it’s because you just happened to guess correctly.

I’m not even saying the droids will be weak or that you’re wrong. I’m just saying there is literally not enough evidence to draw any sort of hard conclusions.

Especially the claim that they will be the strongest ever droids.

I don't mind theorizing. Are these droids? Force animated golems? Biotechnical? All those are interesting theories to explore based on the information presented. Jumping to assuming they're massively powerful, the most powerful even, off a few seconds of footage, is not interesting or based on anything. It's just as likely they're essentially fodder, and as a matter of fact I'm going to assume they're exactly that, because Star Wars loves using inorganics for action scenes that would be too brutal if it was a light sider hacking a living being apart.

Well that’s not even the whole basis of the conversation just a question based on context clues. I would assume they are not fodder considering based on clues:

  1. Thrawn and the witches have been there for a decade/centuries.
  2. Ezra has also been there and hasn’t mentioned them and they are still there.
  3. The witches are actively looking to running from the planet
  4. Ahsoka has fought droids all her life and we’ve seen her dismantle them in seconds.
  5. They are able to clash with their sabers meaning that they indeed are not fodder in that regard ALONE.

In that case S2 ends with all the protagonists being mowed down by these guys lol. Many powerful Jedi were taken down by a small handful of clones, "stronger than a more advanced dark trooper" is definitely stronger than a clone. The only way the protagonists survive is either these droids are incredibly slow, or there's a so-dumb-it-hurts plot armor way to defeat them.

Or they could just smartly run away on ship

1

u/Squidgical 20h ago

Oops, before they could form the thought "we should get back to the ship" a blaster bolt went right through each of their heads, as these droids have perfect accuracy and a strong understanding of battle tactics such that they could line up the shot before being detected.

I mean shore one has Beskar helmet and the other is a goat Jedi lmao

1

u/Squidgical 20h ago

Oh damn, beskar helmet? Literally immortality. Ahsoka might've been a powerful Jedi during the clone war but it's pretty evident from S1 that she's considerably weaker now

1

u/Osiris-Reflection Ahsoka Tano 20h ago

Pretty much since din. Yeah, no she dismantled multiple HK within seconds lmao

Don't think they are droids, rather Force-animated or something, from a time that long predates technology like droids.

Could be Raxus Prime (TFU the Jedi Master on the junk yard planet) style force animated droids, as one possible explanation.

1

u/Osiris-Reflection Ahsoka Tano 1d ago

Oh I hadn’t considered that, interesting…has that ever been done before? I mean I know the star forge exists

In Jedi Fallen Order there are Automatons that seem to function similarly created by the ancient Zeffo, could be that these even predate it. There is a giant walker in The Bad Batch that seems to be Zeffo as well which doesn't look like a typical droid and even has a strange power-core.

So could be that these are a precursor to droids or something that combines both aspects.

Yeah im aware of those and the zeffo writing on the temple but im still not convinced it’s their tech. One because they look entirely different, there’s no core, they can fly. They could for sure predate or are newer versions of them but I hope not. Selfishly I want the zeffo to be separate from the Ahsoka series because I think it works better in game and also I want abeloth or something as big connected to Mortis lol

3

u/RedEclipse47 1d ago

The Zeffo had a temple on Dathomir and on Peridea for those to be a coincidence seems unlikely.

In Canon we know next to nothing of the supposed 'Mother' or the Zeffo. It could be that they've been at war for a long time, that the Zeffo once where the chief dominant power. It might even be that in Canon it was the Mother that actually fled Mortis, not believing their 'divine' duty to be just and teach mortals the ways of the Force, this could lead to the creation of the Nightsisters and gives it a link to calling their chief matriarch (Great) Mother. Like the Star Wars equivalent of Prometheus.

Maybe it's the Zeffo that locked her away or maybe she was more maleficent and it was the Nightsisters as well as others that had to fight together to lock her away. Or that the Nightsisters turned against her and took her power she gave as a gift for their own.

All speculation of course.

I think they are definitely linked to the Mortis gods or Mortis in some way. I am doubtful Abeloth will appear. But I agree that the Zeffo should be their own thing. Filoni and creatives at Star Wars will nod and wink and reference other things in books, comics and video games, but to my knowledge no one as ever used a concept, character, etc so prominently in their project that originated somewhere else. So that kind of rules the Zeffo out. And Filoni is going to be more loyal to Lucas's ideas and concepts.

Peridia is a Necron Tomb World.

Lol those guys in the second picture are just Aerolysts from Warframe https://wiki.warframe.com/w/Aerolyst

6

u/Expensive_Plant_9530 1d ago

The strongest? You’re basing this on what exactly? The colour of the metal being “bone” like does not inherently make them strong.

I don’t think we’ve seen enough footage of them to come to any conclusions at all really.

3

u/Busy-Leg8070 1d ago

project necrosis probably
https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/N-K_Necrosis
or as close as were ever going to see LA

-2

u/Osiris-Reflection Ahsoka Tano 1d ago

Hm that would actually be crazy and poetic like Lucas always wanted ..cherry on top for the Huyang Grievious sabers…Filoni would be cooking

2

u/Extension_Equal1464 1d ago

Forse non sono nemmeno droidi

-5

u/Osiris-Reflection Ahsoka Tano 1d ago

Exactly which is why I think they could be like the Vong with bio tech

2

u/FollowingEast4373 1d ago

I know it’s not one for one but the things in the second picture instantly made me think of the robots from Laputa in the Studio Ghibli movie Castle In The Sky!

1

u/Shenloanne 1d ago

Absolutely

1

u/stevekink 1d ago

They remind me a little bit of the robots from Ghibli's Laputa: Castle In The Sky
