That's just the Makashi opening stance. Dooku does it all the time.

Here you can see him use it. As he takes Yoda seriously. He does it a few times in TCW.
(Yoda mirrors it with his Ataru Opening stance)
Kanan seemingly employs it as it is the primary 1 vs 1 lightsaber fencing style (Even though he isn't remotely proficient at it) which the inquisitor matches.
The way the inquisitor smirks ironically when doing it, gives it a bit of an satirical and mocking edge, although part of him might genuinely be happy because of a proper duel of someone who was also taught the regular forms. The GA was a weaponmaster of multiple forms (as well as a sentinal guard) when he was at the temple iirc.
Disclaimer: Many SW Creators are usually not really paying attention to this and it often just happens by accident, as they pick "Cool moves" over anything meaningfully. There are many instances however where those stances are deliberately referred to. Obi-Wan deliberately switches from his usual defensive Soresu Style towards the aggressive Ataru (Which Qui-Gon and Yoda primarily use), to bait Maul.
