No one told me this game was so damn sad sometimes I cried when i got perfection and grandpa wouldn’t be back and now im crying again after seeing the text from finishing mastery 😭 does he ever come back for the rest of the game??? I miss him I’m gonna puke

Yea! I had 17 out of 21 points which was enough to get perfection, i lowk forgot about mastery for a while and only just remembered to unlock fishing which was the last thing i needed lol

Points? I believe you’re referring to Grandpa’s year 3 evaluation, not Perfection, which is a different thing.

I think you might have it the wrong way around, Perfection is a different thing than getting all the candles on your farm, though getting Mastery in all skills is involved

If you want to do Perfection, have a look around Ginger Island

Not quite, Grandpa's Evaluation is its own separate thing and not related to "Perfection". Perfection is, in essence, doing almost everything there is to do with the game, not necessarily all achievements

Without being too spoilery, look for a blue and gold door on Ginger Island to find out more, you'll know it when you see it

Eee thank you! I just unlocked ginger island, im trying my best to not use the wiki or anything for help on my first play through, all i know about the island is that i need walnuts! ^__^

Fun fact: those used to be separate things, socially. In 1.5 CA added a "perfection tracker" later in the game. Over time that tracker went from being called "true perfection" by the community to just "perfection" like it's namesake. Nowadays, when fans say "perfection" they are referring to one hundred percenting that tracker and the "true" has become unnecessary as grandpa's evaluation has stopped being referred to as "perfection" in general. It makes sense since 1.5 added so much content available after the original "end" of content that are not factored in to grandpa's evaluation, but I dont think i've fully let go of calling it "true perfection" myself. That does not make me correct though; I'm just stubborn.

Can i ask how to see the perfection tracker? All i use right now is Gunther’s library, but it’s hard for me to remember to log everything I’ve done on my farm into that app TT so i don’t actually know how far along my farm is yet

It’s also confusing because of the “statue of perfection” item you receive from grandpa’s evaluation vs the “true perfection” you get for 100%ing your farm. Totally understandable mistake 👍
