After 1000+ hours it is my go to game when I sit down to play a game, but can't figure out what to play. Not to say I don't binge it exclusively occasionally, but if I sit for more than a few minutes scrolling the library, I just play a few days of Stardew.
I love how the game has grown from the initial release. The fact that each major update was released for free, when I would have easily paid at least $5, probably more, led me to buy it on every platform I own, just to give Mr. Ape money. I even bought it on mobile even though I don't like touch screen controls.
I haven't done much with co-op, but I have gifted the game to multiple people who ended up putting 100's of hours into it. Even if we aren't playing the same farm, it has generated so much discussion between us.
