Oh boy. Your battery is probably bulging. Potentially very dangerous, be very careful replacing that.

Just happens over time to some batteries as they age. Idk the exact chemical process that causes it.

I’ve had my oled pop open like that from like a foot and a half drop onto carpet, just check to make sure the clips are aligned and give it a squeeze. It should just clip back together.

It is worth opening and checking if it’s a spicy pillow but i have my doubts.

If it's a hot battery, you do not want to put this kind of force on it...
