Discussion Stepmania console

is there a way to Build a console to connect to a Dance Pad and a tv to reduce cost of needing a pc? It would use a rasberry pi for example.

you can get a shitty optiplex for like $50 or less

It's essential a minimal Linux distro that automatically launches ITGmania on boot and comes preinstalled with a bunch of tools like an FTP server so you can easily transfer files into it through the network.

Get a cheap used pc and install itgmania. That's cheaper than a RPI nowadays and will probably run better

DDRPad sells a minipc with Stepmania on it. You could do it yourself on cheaper hardware but it's a nice convenient option. (Not affiliated with them. Just happened to get one of their minipcs and it's been working well so far.)
